Meet the Judges
Our judging panel brings together senior leaders and influential figures from across local government and the wider public sector, with representation spanning chief executives, directors, professional bodies and leading industry networks.
Each judge gives their time, experience and expertise to carefully review the entries and help identify the individuals and organisations making a real difference for women in local government. Entries are assessed against the award criteria, with judges looking for outstanding achievement, leadership, impact and the ability to inspire others.
Interested in becoming a judge?
We are always keen to hear from senior local government professionals and sector leaders who would like to contribute to the judging process. To find out more about joining the judging panel, please contact Rita.Mccarthy@emap.com.Judging process
The Inspiring Women in Local Government Awards has a rigorous judging process to identify our finalists and winners. Our independent panel of judges, made up of senior leaders and influential figures from across local government and the wider public sector, will review every entry before coming together to select the winners.
Each stage is designed to provide a fair and transparent process. Please note, you will be judged on your written entry alone, so make sure you include strong supporting evidence and clearly demonstrate the impact of your achievements and why you should win.
Stage 1: Online Judging – each entry will undergo a rigorous and fair judging process. Our judges will carefully review, score and assess every submission against the award criteria to determine the shortlist.
Stage 2: Roundtable Discussion – shortlisted entries will then be discussed in depth during a judging roundtable, where our expert panel will consider the strongest submissions and select the final winners.
